بصفتي طالبًا دوليًا من أوغندا أدرس حاليًا في الجزائر، حظيت بامتياز ليس فقط في متابعة تعليمي العالي، بل أيضًا في أن أكون بمثابة سفير غير رسمي لبلدي. وبينما تتمتع الجزائر بتراث ثقافي عريق وقديم، كثيرًا ما أجد نفسي أحدث أصدقائي هنا عن الجمال المذهل، والتنوع، والدفء في وطني، أوغندا، التي تُعرف بمحبة بـ”لؤلؤة إفريقيا”.
أوغندا هي أرض العجائب الطبيعية الخلابة. من ضفاف بحيرة فيكتوريا الهادئة – وهي أكبر بحيرة مياه عذبة في العالم – إلى منبع نهر النيل في مدينة جينجا، تقدم بلادنا تجارب لا تُنسى. يمكن للسياح الذهاب في رحلات السفاري في حديقة الملكة إليزابيث الوطنية، وتتبع الغوريلا الجبلية في غابة بيويندي التي لا يمكن اختراقها، والانبهار بجبال رونزوري المغطاة بالثلوج — والمعروفة باسم “جبال القمر”. ولعشاق المغامرة، هناك التجديف في مياه النيل، ومراقبة الطيور في مابامبا، وركوب القوارب في بحيرة بونيوني الهادئة.
على مر السنين، لاحظت اهتمامًا عميقًا من زملائي الطلاب والسكان المحليين بالتعرف على الثقافات الإفريقية الأخرى. وهذا يمثل فرصة مثيرة. أؤمن أن التبادل الثقافي والشراكة السياحية بين الجزائر وأوغندا يمكن أن تفتح آفاقًا جديدة للفهم والاستثمار والوحدة في جميع أنحاء القارة.
تخيل فقط سائحًا جزائريًا يسافر من الصحراء إلى رحلات السفاري، من القصبة إلى كمبالا، ومن خميس مليانة إلى تلال كيتاغويندا المتدحرجة.
تخيل مهرجانات شبابية جزائرية-أوغندية، ومعارض سياحية، وبرامج تبادل طلابي تحتفي فيها كل أمة بتراث الأخرى.

From the Sahara to the Pearl of Africa : Why Algerians should Discover Uganda.
As an international student from Uganda currently studying in Algeria, I have had the privilege not only to pursue higher education but also to serve as an informal ambassador for my country. While Algeria boasts a rich and ancient cultural heritage, I often find myself telling friends here about the incredible beauty, diversity, and warmth of my homeland, Uganda, fondly known as “The Pearl of Africa.”
Uganda is a land of breathtaking natural wonders. From the serene shores of Lake Victoria – the mighty freshwater water lake in the world to the mighty River Nile’s source in Jinja, our country offers unforgettable experiences. Tourists can embark on safaris in Queen Elizabeth National Park, trek mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and marvel at the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains — famously called The Mountains of the Moon. For adventure lovers, there’s white-water rafting on the Nile, birdwatching in Mabamba and boat rides on the tranquil Lake Bunyonyi.
Over the years, I have noticed profound interest among fellow students and locals in learning about other African cultures. This presents an exciting opportunity. I believe that cultural exchange and tourism partnership between Algeria and Uganda open new pathways for understanding, investment and unity across the continent.
Just imagine an Algerian tourist flying from the Sahara to safari, from the Casbah to Kampala, from khemis miliana to Kitagwenda’s rolling hills
Imagine Algerian-Ugandan youth festivals, tourism fairs, and student exchange programs where both nations celebrate each other’s heritage.
The Pearl of Africa awaits you .
